NETWORKING OF SIKHS
Network for Sikhs (NOS)
Our Mission
NOS (Networking of Sikhs), is a platform created under the “Jobs For Sikhs™” project to help Sikh entrepreneurs to grow their business within the Sikh community by sharing business referrals and creating business deals among the members of NOS. The whole concept is to create a network between the Sikh business houses and customers based on B2B as well as B2C model. Our members get the opportunity to share ideas, contacts, and most importantly, business referrals among each other.
NOS Philosophy
NOS follows the philosophy of “One For All, All For One”. We at NOS believe in networking the synergy of the Entrepreneurs so that through the growth of businesses of the members, the whole community can develop economically while following the path of doing business with integrity and urge to support each other.
Meet & Share
If you are a member of NOS you can visit meetings to meet and share details of your business with other members who are attending the meeting. Also, members can ask for referrals for the service or products you are looking to avail or buy. To get the maximum benefit from attending the meeting please do not forget to bring and distribute your business cards among the group.
Meetings & Talks
Meetings can be arranged in coffee shops, house/office of any member who volunteers for the same, in a park etc. The whole concept of keeping meetings at such places is to reduce the overhead charges. Also, members will have to pay for their own food & beverages, if they plan to have during the meeting. The motive of the meeting is create a network among the members so that they can share business details, referrals and innovative ideas which can benefit the members and the Sikh community. Since the meetings will run according to a structured agenda therefore it is compulsory for the members to arrive on time always so that they don’t miss out on any opportunities for networking. Every month meeting will be done twice per month on 2nd and 4th Saturday. Members can bring along referrals who want to get more information of NOS and become the member themselves.
Integrity & Ethics
It is expected from all the members to be ethical, truthful, transparent and supportive in the business dealings they do among themselves. The NOS (Networking Of Sikhs) or JFS (Jobs For Sikhs) Or HHCT (Helping Hand Charitable Trust) is not liable or answerable for any dispute, if any, that arises between the members as the role of NOS/JFS/HHCT is only to create a link between the members via networking. Also, NOS has nothing to do with the financial dealing that happens between the members. It is advised to all members to check the background and other aspects of each other before getting into a deal so that the chances of dispute rising can be minimised as such type of activities bring disrepute to the Project and the members as well.
Time Management
Attendance is critical for members to promote relationships with other members. If for some reason the member is not able to attend the meeting, he/she can send a substitute in his/her place to avoid an absence. After the meeting is adjourned, members are encouraged to build relationships with each other by having One-to-Ones, opportunities to get to know another member and get a deeper look at another’s business.
Membership Investment
Members will have to pay an annual non-refundable membership fee of only `1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) which gives them access to their membership card, 24 networking meetings a year, professional development opportunities, experiences to help them become better business people, guidance to promote their business through social media and much more.
